September 30, 2024:

Yesterday was a super fun day. We took it easy in the morning and then took a day trip to St. Peter im Schwarzwald. We got a nice lunch, explored and took some pictures. We had a great time and got some sunshine. We took a train there and then a bus up to the city. There were many rolling hills, greenery, houses, animals, it was lovely. I put on some good music on the way back home and it felt very cinematic.

Sunday morning views.

On the train!

Coffee & cake!

After we arrived we walked around and took photos with our film cameras. We ate at this really great restaurant and had coffee, main courses, and tea afterwards to settle our stomachs.

Honestly Germany has such good starter salads. The dressing always tastes homemade.

Cheers!

This was another famous German dish, called 'spaetzle' and I had it with mushrooms and beef. Tasted so yummy!

Brady got a sausage, potatoes and some sauerkraut. Very classic also!

Peppermint tea for after lunch.

We used a 100 euro at lunch :)

We took some great pictures, explored the monastery and around the town. It was beautiful.

Later in the evening we went to the opera which was so fun!! I couldn’t understand it since it was in Italian, and had German subtitles but it was fancy! :)

Love my new clothes. :)

Bubbles before the performance! It was a 2.5 hour opera with an intermission.

We dressed our best for the opera! It was definitely getting chilly in Freiburg.

View from the top floor outside. That's the university across the street there where Brady attended.

After the performance, we then went to the Irish pub to catch the last end of the Packers game. They lost sadly, but we had fun watching them and ate some American food for a chance. That was my first time hearing English in over two weeks pretty much haha.

Prost!

I ate a lot of french fries in Germany, lol. Potatoes and beer. :)
