Sept. 22, 2024:

Today is Sunday and it’s been a beautiful day! This morning we woke up and went to the Cathedral for mass. Brady has been really enjoying the history of churches and Catholicism so I humored that aspect and went with him this morning. It was gorgeous. The tall ceilings, stained glass windows, and everything- it was amazing.

We then got kaffee and kuchen, a classic German tradition (coffee and cake). :) It was delish!!

This was the restaurant we ate at after Mass, except we got to have the nice view outside. :)

We then took a hike through the Black forest to a sweet restaurant called St. Ottilien, it was right near an old church which was quaint. It was about 3 miles or so to hike it all the way there.

When we finally arrived we saw the beautiful old church and went inside. We lit candles for people in distress and lit one for our marriage.

We then dined outdoors with a killer view. I was in awe and it was the BEST meal I’ve eaten so far. Schnitzel and German potatoes and fries!

We hiked back and saw lots of great nature scenes as well as a sunflower field.

We finished our long day with beers at the Beer Garden. When in Germany you drink like the Germans do. :)
