Yesterday was an absolute blast. (September 20th)  I started my morning writing about the previous day’s adventure (journey to Germany) and we hiked up to Lorettoberg (https://schlosscafe-freiburg.de) to this gorgeous cafe up on the top of this giant hill. It was gorgeous, we had an epic view of the city nearby and ate a traditional breakfast (we split it) and got gourmet coffees.

That was the view from the hike up to the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the hike up, but I was HOT! It was certainly warm climbing up that hill in pants and a long sleeve. Next time I’ll dress cooler. What a view up there, though.

It was a traditional breakfast with good meats, cheeses, jams, breads, eggs, and muesli (some kind of yogurt thing). It was delish. After brunch we went to the market and checked out the cathedral.

The cathedral was simply mesmerizing- it was so cool to see such a historical sight in the middle of the city like that. We saw lots of people on the streets as well as vendors.

After that we went to Brady’s old campus and he showed me around. It was super cool to see which apartment he lived in and saw where he went to school. He stayed in the apartment with the yellow window.

This was in the main town square area.

These were the students who lost their lives in WW1 at the campus.

Later in the day we had famous döners (like gyros but way better!) I really enjoyed those. We ate them in a park.

We finished the evening with a night cap at a very expensive bar (YOLO) lol. I had a delish rum old fashioned, and it made me silly. Brady and I went back to the hotel and relaxed. We had a hard time falling asleep before one am. Hoping that we adjust to the time zone, soon!

The streets, restaurants, bars, all look so amazing!
