Summer in Wisconsin: The Just Potter

Sitting at my desk on a very gloomy day, the rain is coming down, a candle is burning on my dresser, and I can't help but think of a "greener" place than Wisconsin. I know people say not to desire someplace else because the grass isn't really greener on the other side, but I'm allowed to have feelings, and it's kind of true. 😊

Last summer my artist friend, Gabbie Henn and I, also a co-worker at The Coffee Grounds, a hip and local coffee shop/brewery/restaurant at the time, had a little photo session with our newly coveted handmade jewelry from ,The Just Potter, at Owen Park.

The earrings that Gabbie is wearing are called, Tiny Dancer in electric blue. These earrings are funky, fresh, and make you want to dance.

Instantly meeting Gabbie I knew she was going to be a fun person to hang out with. She brings energy and sunshine into every room. She dances to the beat of her own drum. She is a photographer, baker at Shift Cyclery and Coffee Bar and chef at The Coffee Grounds, in Eau Claire, WI. She's a lover of live music, family, friends, and organizing photo walks downtown. A true gem whom I'm inspired by.

Both of us know Mandy, the woman behind The Just Potter, from working together at the cafè. She is an upbeat breath of fresh air and definitely a fun person to talk to. Our ways parted when we each moved away from the area, and started new gigs, but keeping up with her artwork online is inspiring. I recently bought a pair of earrings to support the local artists, and love them. They make being quarantined at home feel a little more fun. Mandy is such a creative thinker, a passionate and strong woman nestled in Minnesota. She creates pottery, makes her own jewelry and runs. I'm inspired by her creations focused on individualism and hope you can find her work inspiring too!
